Custom-made with quick-release buckle and two-tone leather
Even the best leather wears out over time — its texture fades, elasticity weakens, and comfort diminishes. Meanwhile, quality hardware, especially a well-crafted buckle, can remain functional for decades. In such cases, it’s possible not just to replace the strap, but to reimagine the accessory — adapting it to the owner’s current lifestyle, taste, and wardrobe.
One of my clients approached me with a request to renew a double-sided leather belt with a quick-release buckle from a well-known brand. The original leather had worn out, but the buckle was still in perfect condition. Rather than replicate the old belt, we used the opportunity to create something more expressive and functional.
As materials, we selected premium Italian cowhide from Gruppo Mastrotto — article ‘Adria’, known for its rich “Dollar” texture and supple yet durable finish. Two shades were chosen: deep black and elegant dark blue, creating a truly versatile belt that works equally well with formal or casual attire.
The belt was fully rebuilt to match the client’s current size and fit preferences. For added longevity and shape retention, I used Jaeger (Germany) reinforcement across the entire length — a discreet yet effective solution that prevents stretching, deformation or tearing over time.
Like all my work, this belt was made entirely by hand with attention to symmetry, finish, and comfort. The edges are polished and sealed, and the construction ensures ergonomic ease in daily use.
The result is a refined, versatile accessory tailored to the client’s style — built to last and evolve with time.
If your buckle still works perfectly, but the leather has aged — I’ll help you craft a new custom belt that fits you and your lifestyle perfectly.
