Custom Alligator Strap for Auguste Reymond Magellan

I was approached by the owner of an Auguste Reymond Magellan, a stylish and elegant watch with a stunning blue dial. He wanted to replace the standard crocodile leather strap with something more exclusive and distinctive.

My task was to create a strap that would perfectly complement the watch, accentuate its exquisite design and at the same time reflect the customer’s taste and preferences. After discussing the details and wishes, we decided on a strap made of genuine alligator leather.

Special attention was paid to the selection of the colour of the leather. It was important that the colour of the strap harmoniously combined with the shade of the blue dial of the watch, creating a unified and complete image. After careful consideration of the leather samples, we chose the perfect match that not only matched the colour of the dial, but also had a unique texture that added a distinctive look to the strap.

Alligator neck leather was used for the strap, which is characterised by its softness and finer pattern of natural creases. To ensure the strength and durability of the strap, I used the finest reinforcement materials from Jaeger (Germany). These materials allowed the strap to be thin and elegant enough without weighing down the overall look of the watch.

The strap was hand stitched with linen waxed thread using saddle stitching, which guarantees its strength and durability. The black hypoallergenic, moisture-resistant leather has been used as the lining, ensuring the watch is comfortable to wear.
