Custom Black Alligator Strap for Breitling Avenger B01

Sometimes a new project begins not with an idea, but with a returning client.

Some time ago, I made a strap for this client’s Breitling Avenger B01 Chronograph. We carefully discussed the strap proportions, its relationship to the watch case, and the materials, so the strap would look natural and feel comfortable in everyday use. That project became part of our ongoing collaboration, and later the client reached out again.

This time the request was clear and concise: a black alligator leather strap with light contrast stitching. It is a classic combination that works particularly well with the Avenger model — expressive and technical in character, yet versatile enough for daily wear.

For the top layer, I selected alligator leather with a balanced and elegant scale pattern. The light waxed thread creates a subtle contrast with the black leather and emphasizes the strap’s geometry without adding unnecessary visual weight.

As with the previous strap for this client, the internal construction follows the anatomy of the wrist. The strap is shaped ergonomically from the beginning and sits comfortably on the wrist without a break-in period. This detail is rarely visible in photographs, but it is always noticeable to the owner.

Repeat orders are especially meaningful for me as a craftsman. They confirm that the strap not only looked right when delivered, but also became a natural part of the owner’s everyday life with the watch.
