DKNY watch strap

Sometimes watches are more than just a timekeeping instrument and a fashion accessory for my clients. This project is an example of how restored personal items take on a new life and can bring back pleasant and memorable moments of the past.

The original DKNY watch strap was made of embossed leather with alligator texture.
The task was set to make a new strap of burgundy colour (in the colour of the dial) with the use of higher quality materials.
Despite the possibility of making the strap from alligator leather, the choice was made on Alran leather (France). The lining is hypoallergenic moisture resistant leather (Italy).

After disassembly all metal parts were cleaned and polished. Jaeger (Velodon) reinforcements were used for the strap strength and to prevent possible deformation of the strap.
