This project began in a genuinely organic way. A client found my previous Omega Flightmaster strap story through search and left a comment with a simple request. He wanted a similar strap for his own Flightmaster from the 1970s. We moved quickly from a general idea to precise details, because the Flightmaster has a strong character and the strap should support it rather than compete with it.
We discussed proportions and the way the strap should sit on the wrist, then I proposed several material combinations. The final choice for the top was a grey carbon textured calf. It feels contemporary, yet it stays quiet next to the dial. The clasp was also part of the plan from the start. The client wanted to use a deployant clasp, so the strap was designed and built specifically for that type of closure.
The specifications are 22/20 mm and a standard 115/75 mm length. Near the case the strap has a subtle build up with a clean transition in thickness. This matters for visual balance and for the feel on the wrist. The design follows a classic rally approach with a clear reference to the 1960s. The perforation adds air and rhythm without turning the strap into a loud sports accessory.
The finishing details are deliberately tied to the watch. Orange linen stitching and orange edge paint echo the vivid accents of the Flightmaster hands. The lining is black and moisture resistant for comfortable everyday wear.
As with all my straps, this one is shaped with an ergonomic, anatomical profile and internal reinforcements. It sits naturally from the first wear and holds its intended geometry over time.
A ready strap for the Omega Flightmaster made for a deployant clasp is also available in the Shop.

This Omega Flightmaster 1969 belonged to my father and was later passed on to me. After having it properly serviced and sympathetically restored, I still found myself not wearing it—mainly because I never connected with the original steel bracelet. For years, I searched for a leather or rubber alternative that felt worthy of the watch’s bold, tool-watch character, but nothing ever felt quite right.
That changed when I came across a blog post featuring a rally-style strap made specifically for the Flightmaster. It led me to Viktor’s work. I reached out through his website, and he responded almost immediately. From there, the entire experience was genuinely collaborative. We discussed the watch’s heavy case, its imposing presence, and what kind of strap would complement—not compete with—its personality. Viktor listened carefully, offered thoughtful suggestions, and showed immense patience throughout the process.
What stood out most was his passion for his craft. This wasn’t a transaction; it felt like working with an artisan who genuinely cares about the story behind the watch and the details that make a strap feel “right.” The end result exceeded my expectations. The rally strap is beautifully made, perfectly proportioned, and has completely transformed how the watch wears and feels on the wrist.
Thanks to Viktor’s skill and engagement, this Flightmaster is no longer a watch that lives in a box—it’s one I now truly enjoy wearing. I couldn’t recommend his work more highly.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share this — and for the trust behind it.
What you describe is exactly why bespoke work matters to me. The final result is never “just a strap made to size”; it is something we arrive at together through dialogue, careful choices, and a clear understanding of what the watch needs in real life. Your openness in the process is a big part of why this project turned out the way it did.
It was a real pleasure to work with your Flightmaster and to help bring it back into regular rotation. If you ever decide to develop the idea further, or start a new project around another watch, I will be glad to work with you again.
