There are other standard sizes as well, such as women’s 70/105 mm and extra-long 95/115 mm, but these sizes are also considered standards yet are rarely seen.

To reduce production and storage costs, manufacturers typically equip their watches with 75/115 mm straps. Offering additional sizes increases production, logistics, and storage expenses. As a result, the “universal” option—a longer strap with extra adjustment holes that can fit both smaller and larger wrists—has become increasingly common. While this approach simplifies the choice for buyers, it often doesn’t solve the issue of an uncomfortable fit.
Unfortunately, this “universal” option creates inconveniences for those with either very large or very small wrists. The extended strap tip may stick out and catch on things, while a shorter strap may not provide reliable watch retention.
