Everything seemed right, but wearing it was impossible.
That’s how this story began — with a simple yet revealing situation. My client came in with a Aerowatch he could barely wear. The original strap measured 115/75 mm — an official accessory, standard size, seemingly fine. But on his large wrist, it barely closed on the last hole. The strap tip didn’t even reach the first keeper, and the leather loops no longer served their function. Eventually, he removed them entirely and continued to wear the strap, though with constant discomfort.
The original lining also failed the test of time. It began to irritate the skin and added to the sense of frustration.
We decided to create a new strap in a classic, understated style using black alligator leather. The new size — 125/95 mm — was shaped anatomically to follow the wrist’s natural curve. It fit immediately, without pressure or resistance. The deployant clasp now sat exactly where it should — in its natural ergonomic position, without tension or distortion.
The moisture-resistant, hypoallergenic lining offered lasting comfort for everyday wear.
It often takes just a few adjustments — length, fit, materials — to make something truly functional. That’s the difference a bespoke strap can make.
