Recently, a client approached me with a special request. He owned a luxurious Bovet Fleurier watch with a matte dial in a rich blue color, adorned with a decorative “sunburst” pattern. The client wanted the new strap to harmonize with this color. Inspired by his idea, I suggested using alligator leather, which, with its unique pattern and texture, would perfectly complement the status of his watch.
The client also requested the strap to have an anatomical shape to match the natural curves of his wrist. The lining leather needed to be hypoallergenic and water-resistant. We together chose the perfect shade of dark blue alligator leather from the neck area. In this area, the natural pattern is proportionally smaller, making it ideal for narrow watch straps.
Upon completion of the project, the client was delighted with the result. The strap not only harmoniously matched the design of the watch but also provided comfort due to its anatomical shape and high-quality materials. The client’s satisfaction reminded me why I love my craft so much – the opportunity to create unique and functional pieces that bring joy to their owners.
