Smart Folio for iPad Pro 11″

This bespoke leather Smart Folio was made for an Apple iPad Pro 11″, combining black deerskin with an alligator leather accent. The aim was not simply to cover a device in leather, but to preserve the practical logic of the original folio while giving the object a more personal, tactile, and refined character.

The construction keeps the essential functions expected from a Smart Folio. Built-in magnets wake the iPad when the cover is opened and put it to sleep when it is closed. The folding cover can also be used as a stand for reading, browsing, typing, or video calls.

For a leather folio, the main challenge is proportion. The cover must protect the device and feel substantial in the hand, but it should not make the iPad bulky or awkward to use. The slim profile, precise camera opening, access to the side buttons, and folding structure all had to remain clean and functional.

The deerskin gives the folio a soft, calm surface, while the alligator leather adds a more structured visual accent. Together they turn a standard everyday device into a discreet personal object without compromising its practical use.
