Custom Alligator Leather Strap for Omega Watch

A client approached me with a request for a custom-made strap for their Omega watch. The original strap, measuring 65/105 mm, was too small and needed replacement.

I crafted a new strap from dark blue alligator leather, giving it an anatomical shape for an improved fit and increasing its size to 85/115 mm for maximum comfort.

The strap was made using the Remborde technique, where the top layer of alligator leather is wrapped around the base and securely bonded. The hypoallergenic lining with water-resistant properties not only ensures wearing comfort but also extends the strap’s longevity.

The Remborde technique allows for creating straps that appear seamless and refined. It combines multiple layers of materials (leather and reinforcement) bonded in such a way that the strap looks like a single piece of leather. This method makes the strap elegant and aesthetically appealing.

For additional reinforcement, I used Jaeger components from Germany, which ensure durability and long-lasting performance.
