Alligator Leather Strap for Seculus Watch with Anatomical Shape
A client approached me with their Seculus 4494.2.5030D men’s watch, requesting a custom-made strap tailored to their specifications. The original rubber strap of this model features a unique attachment system that ensures a snug fit and highlights the watch’s case geometry. However, the strap had reached the end of its service life, and damage rendered it completely non-functional.
Additionally, the original strap was too short, causing discomfort when worn on the client’s larger wrist. The rubber material also proved less suitable for daily wear, especially in warm climates.
To address these issues, I crafted a new strap from alligator leather, designing it with an anatomical shape for optimal fit and extending its length for enhanced comfort. The lining is made from hypoallergenic, water-resistant leather, offering protection against splashes and natural moisture, which is particularly beneficial in hot weather or during sports activities.
To further strengthen the strap, I used reinforcements from Jaeger, a German manufacturer known for ensuring durability and resistance to deformation.

It was my first experience with Kondratenko Studio.
And it was after I realized that one of my favorite watches couldn’t be worn anymore as its original silicone strap was totally destroyed. I failed to find and buy original Seculus strap even via Ebay and other market-places. And it was my luck to meet Viktor occasionally. We talked during hours about materials, techniques and a number of samples of finished accessories were shown to me and discussed. It was very informative and exciting meeting.
Though the original form of strap could not be performed using leather material, it was made with high degree of accuracy and finally it matched all my demands.
Every item, I’ve seen, that had been crafted by Kondratenko studio looks like jewellry.
I’m sure that my first experience was only the beginning and further will be more.
